Qixi Festival Flowers in Singapore

Qixi is Chinese Valentine's Day, and in 2026 it falls on Wednesday 19 August.
The date moves each year because it follows the lunar calendar, landing on the seventh night of the seventh month.
The story goes that a weaver girl and a cowherd fell in love and were separated across the sky, allowed to meet just one night a year, when a flock of magpies forms a bridge between them.

Choosing Qixi Flowers

A year of waiting for a single evening sets the tone for the gifting: Qixi bouquets lean romantic and unmistakably so, heavy on red and pink.

How big to go

The rounded bouquets at the top of the grid are the generous option: 20 to 30 roses hand-tied into a tight dome, with or without a baby's breath trim, from S$120. The classic studies are the same roses in a smaller hand-tied bunch of 3 to 6 stalks, from S$48, and can be sent in a vase instead. For a milestone Qixi, they also scale to 50, 99 and 108 stems.

If red roses feel too expected

A mixed hand bouquet in blush, cream or lilac reads romantic without being literal, and most sit between S$90 and S$140. A Study in Harmony pairs two rose shades in one dome if you want colour without leaving roses behind.

Something that lasts
