Planning flowers for someone graduating in 2027? Polytechnic graduations usually fall in May, so that’s the next season to look forward to. Here’s how to choose a bouquet and get it to them without a last-minute rush.

Polytechnic graduations: looking ahead to May 2027
May is the usual graduation season for Singapore’s polytechnics. The 2027 schedules are still to come, so keep May in mind for now and use the date and session on the graduate’s invitation when it arrives.
Singapore Polytechnic (SP)

Different diplomas have different ceremony sessions. Check the graduate’s time and choose a meeting point near their hall so they won’t have to cross campus with the bouquet.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP)

Include the block number and agree on an entrance or meeting spot. Leave time to collect the flowers before the graduate needs to register for the ceremony.
Temasek Polytechnic (TP)

Add the ceremony venue and entrance to the address. If you’re meeting before a morning session, bringing the bouquet from home can be easier than coordinating a delivery on campus.
Republic Polytechnic (RP)

Choose a clear meeting point near the ceremony venue and make sure someone can answer the driver’s call. Avoid arranging a handover while everyone is seated inside.
Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP)

The campus is near Yio Chu Kang MRT. Include the building and entrance in your delivery details, rather than just the campus name.

University ceremonies fall at different times of the year. Some schools have started sharing their 2027 calendars; others still show last year’s ceremony information. Use these links to plan ahead, then check the graduate’s invitation for their date, time and venue.
National University of Singapore (NUS)
Usually in July
NUS usually holds commencement in July. Look out for ceremony details on its website from April, and check which session the graduate will attend.
Singapore Management University (SMU)
Late July 2027
SMU lists 26 July–1 August in its 2027 academic calendar, with the final ceremony details still to come. The graduate’s invitation will tell you which day and session to plan for.
Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
2027 ceremony details to come
SUSS has released its 2027 academic calendar, but the graduation dates are still to be finalised. Check its convocation announcement closer to the time for the venue and sessions.
Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
Look out for the 2027 schedule
SIT’s ceremony page still shows 2026. When the new schedule is out, note the graduate’s session and hall, then agree on somewhere easy to meet with the flowers.

The next Singapore ceremony
JCU’s next Singapore ceremony details are still to come. Check the venue on the invitation before arranging delivery, as the ceremony may be held away from campus.
Campus delivery notes for NUS, NTU, SMU and SUTD
Sending flowers to campus for photos or a celebration? Include the building and a meeting point. For the ceremony itself, use the venue on the invitation, which may be elsewhere.
- NUS: name the Kent Ridge building or meeting point.
- NTU: include the Yunnan Garden campus building or landmark.
- SMU: specify the city-campus building or event venue.
- SUTD: include the building at 8 Somapah Road and agree on a meeting point.
Getting the flowers there on time
In our graduation order sample, over half were placed within two days of delivery, and about one in six was ordered for the same day. Give yourself a little more breathing room if you can, especially for a morning ceremony.
An early start? Have the flowers delivered the day before
If the ceremony is before noon, home delivery the day before is usually the easier option. Keep the bouquet in a cool room with its water source intact, then bring it along in the morning.
Pick somewhere easy to meet
Include the building or hall, level, meeting point and a mobile number the driver can reach. If the graduate will be busy getting ready, ask a friend or family member to receive the flowers.
Choose a delivery slot with time to spare
Your flowers will arrive during your chosen delivery slot. Choose one that finishes before you need the bouquet, and leave time for registration and photos. Available dates and cut-offs are shown at checkout. You can also check our delivery information page.
Choosing flowers they’ll love
We looked at more than 3,200 Windflower orders with a graduation message, placed between 1 August 2022 and 9 October 2026. Here are a few ideas from what customers chose, along with some practical things to think about.
Sunflowers, roses or something different?
Sunflowers are a cheerful choice, and they appeared in about a third of our graduation orders. Bright Smile is one example. Roses appeared in just over half of the orders, often as part of a mixed bouquet, while carnations appeared in about a third. Tulips, chosen in roughly one in eight orders, offer a simpler shape.
About a quarter included preserved or dried flowers. A bouquet such as Eternal Khaki makes a keepsake after the celebration. Keep it indoors, dry and away from direct sunlight.
Choosing colours for the photos
Yellow, coral and pink add colour against a dark graduation gown, while soft pastels give a gentler look. If you know their favourite colour, start there. You can also choose flowers or wrapping that complement their faculty sash.
A few ways to choose
- The classic: a bright sunflower bouquet for someone who loves cheerful colours.
- The keepsake: a preserved bouquet they can display at home after graduation.
- Easy to carry: a medium bouquet leaves a hand free for their certificate, phone and all the hugs.
- The group gift: pool your budget for a bouquet you know they’ll love, and add a message from everyone.

About these figures: we counted orders with a graduation mentioned in the card message, from 1 August 2022 to 9 October 2026. Cancelled orders and orders with no shippable items left after refunds are excluded. Figures are rounded, and some older designs could not be classified. A mixed bouquet counts towards each flower type it contains, so the shares add up to more than 100%. Delivery timing refers to the date selected when ordering, not a record of arrival.
